FATAL BULLET WOUND
Accident With Pea-rifle

Nelson, December 31.
The death has occurred of Winifred Kathleen Rowling, aged 19, daughter of Mr. Sydney Rowling, of Riwaka, as the result of the accidental discharge of a pea-rifle last week. She took the weapon to drive away starlings from the bouse and slipped on the steps, with the result that the rifle went off, the bullet entering her abdomen.
