WORLD WALKING TOUR
$ Wanganui Man’s Return Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, December 31. After a walking tour over the greater part of the globe, Mr. H. Coulston, of Castleeliff, has returned to AVanganui on a visit to his mother. He set out four years ago with a young man named 11. Dunsford, of Rakaia. They shipped on a sailing vessel, the Grace Harwar, and reached Australia. There Mr. Dunsford gave the trip best, aud signed off. Mr. Coulston went on alone, his first trip being from Perrh to Adelaide. Then he went through Hawaii, Honolulu, across America and into England. AVhile there he lectured at various schools, to some Rotary Clubs and Toe H gatherings, using a number of slides lent him by the New Zealand Government. AVhile on the Isle of Man he succeeded in lowering the record for the 80-mile walk from 174 hours to 15. Mr. Coulston also visited the Continent of Europe, spending some days in Moscow. His itinerary included France, Belgium, Holland, Italy and Austria. It is his intention to remain in AVanganui three weeks and set out round the world again. He is considering the purchase of a ketch at Auckland.
