October-December 15 Figures BIG DECREASE IN LAMB With Hie exception of lamb, which shows a heavy drop, shipments of meat during the period October 1 to December 15, the first two and a half months of the 1934-35 season, show considerable increases compared with those for the same period of last year The following table shows the destinations of the shipments for the period, the totals for the same period of 1933 being given for comparative purposes:—

There were 6500 quarters of chilled beef shipped during the period under review, as against none for the same period of 1033, while the quantity of boneless beef shipped was 52,725 bags, as against 29,547 bags. The New Zealand Meat Producers Board is advised by cable from its. London office that the shipments from Australia and South America to the United Kingdom during the first half of December were as follow :— Australia.—Carcases mutton. 20,120; careases lamb, ISO,518; quarters beef, 7309. South America. —Carcases mutton, 3618; earcases lamb, 255,475; quarters beef (frozen). 1726; quarters beef (chilled), 205,846.
