JAIL OFFICERS BATTING (Received December 30, 6.30 p.m.) I Sydney, December 30. • During a crieket match in which Bathurst jail officers were participating, shots fired by a hidden marksman whistled round players’ heads. The jail officers were batting, and a warder was wicketkeeping. The marksman apparently fired at a batsman. He was not traced.
