APPEAL DISMISSED
Insurers of L’Atlantique SALVAGE FIRMS’ CLAIM (Received December 30, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, December 28. The court dismissed the appeal of the Insurers of I’Atlantique. French foreign salvage firms, which took the I’Atlantique in tow after her abandonment, have lodged a claim for 50,000,000 francs from the insurers. The Seine Commercial Court, > in its judgment in January, decided that the hull of I’Atlantique, damaged by fire, was ■irreparable, and ordered the insurance companies to pay £2,600.000. plus costs, of which £1,500.000 falls on British companies. The Compagnie' de Navigation Snd-Atlanflque thus won on all points.
