Hewett, who after completing the Mildenhall-Melbourne Air Race flight, were the first New Zealand airmen to fly the Tasman, Right: Squadron Leader M. O. MacGregor and Mr. H. O. Walker who made an outstanding flight in a single-engined aeroplane in the MacRobertson Air Race.
