NGATAKI ARRIVES
Safe in Port, But Lost Tasman Race PRIZE TO TE RAPUNGA (Received December 28, 10.55 p.m.) Melbourne, December 28. The yacht Ngataki, which had not been reported since she was sighted by a steamer 240 miles from Melbourne two days ago, entered the heads this evening. Yachtsmen were beginning to feel anxious over the long delay, but Ngataki reported all well. Te Rapunga wins the first prize of £7O and a cup valued at £5O.
Ngataki. -to have won, required to cross the finishing line at 8 a.m., allowing for her 17 hours handicap.
