« Holiday Bowls Tourney LAWN TENNIS: CRICKET The Wellington Bowling Centre will continue its Christmas riuks tournament to-day, when post section play will commence. Section A will play at Lyall Bay, Section B at Hataitai, Section C at Wellington, and Section D at Central. Headquarters will be at the Wellington green. Lawn Tennis. The Wellington Lawn Tennis Association will continue its tournament on the Miramar courts, when some attractive play x should be witnessed in the final stages. Cricket at Kilbirnie. A cricket match will be played on the Kilbirnie Recreation Ground to-day between an eleven from H.M.A.S. Australia and a team from the Midland Cricket Club, which will include some members of the Plunkct Shield eleven. .The team from the warship will be stronger than the one which defeated the Midland Club eleven at Kqlburn Park last week. Small-Bore Rifle Match. A sheet will be held at the Wellington Small-Bore Riffe Club’s range at Miramar this afternoon between , teams from H.M.S. Laburnum and H.M.S. Leith this afternoon. All riflemen are invited to attend. Golf. A bogey competition will be played on the Shandon links this afternoon.
