Captain Gardner, of the Westmoreland, which arrived at Auckland on Tuesday from Liverpool, reported that westerly storms were encountered in the Atlantic for five days, and a hard southerly gale was experienced when the vessel was nearing Auckland. MAUNGANUI FOR SYDNEY. The Maunganui is timed to leave Wellington at 3 p.m. to-day for bydney, where she is due on Tuesday morning.

AORANGI AT VANCOUVER. The Union Company report that the Aoraugi. from Auckland, is due at Vancouver to-day. The vessel is scheduled to leave again next Wednesday for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland, and Sydney, and is due at Auckland on March 26.

CARGO FROM HALIFAX. Cabled news has been received by tlio Canadian Government Ageucy that the Canadian Britisher sailed from Haliiax lust Sunday morning with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland about April 10 and at Wellington a week later.

TRANSPACIFIC CARGO STEAMERS. The Waikawa, from Pacific Coast, via Papeete, will clear Napier on Monday for New Plvmouth, Nelson, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, Westport, Auckland, aud will then go to Honolulu and Vancouver. The Waitemata from Pacific Coast, is expected to clear Apia to-day for Auckland, where the is due on March 11, and will proceed thence to Wellington, Melbourne. and Sydney. The Walruna, from Newcastle, via Suva, is due at Vancouver on March 17, and proceeds thence to San Francisco. The Hauraki, from Pacific Coast, via ~nd and Wellington, is due at Sydney on Monday next, and will proceed thence to Melbourne and Adelaide to complete discharge. The Waiotapu left Newcastle on February 28 for Fiji, Fanning Island, Vancouver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. She Is due at Suva on March 6. The Waihemo from Auckland arrived at Vancouver on February 23, and was ‘o have cleared Ocean Falls yesterday for San Francisco direct to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Melbourne, and Sydney. She is due at San Francisco about Monday next. The forward loading dates at the Pacific Coast are approximately as follow :— The Walruna will load at Vancouver and San Francisco during the present month for Auckland. Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. The Waiotapu will load at Vancouver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles early in April for Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. The Waikawa will load at Vancouver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles early In Maj’ for Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Now Plymouth, also Bluff and Nelson if there is sufficient inducement. It was expected yesterday that the Port Bowen would be able to gel away from Gisborne last night for Napier. The Port Hunter arrived nt Lyttelton yesterday morning from Wellington. She will leave Lyttelton this aftrenoon for Ou nod hi. The liner Ruapehu arrived at Lyttelton at 7 a.in. yesterday from Wellington to commence discharge of her London cargo. The vessel will leave Lyttelton on Monday afternoon for Port Chalmers. The liner Rotorua sailed from Wellington yesterday, afternoon for Auckland to complete discharge of her London cargo. The Canadian Challenger left Wellington at 7 o’clock yesterday morning for Auckland to fill up for New York, Boston, and Halifax. The Kaponga is to leave Portland today with cement for New Plymouth, ellington, and Lyttelton. The Wingatui will leave Auckland today for Wellington and southern ports. The Kurow will leave Auckland early next week for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. The I’oolta will leave here to-day tor Grevmoutli to load for Wellington. The Kainianawa is now to leave Westport to-day for Napier and Weijiugton. The Kamona, from Dunedin, was to have left Timaru yesterday for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The Gale, from south, is due here tomorrow, and will go on to "Wanganui. The Calm is to leave Bluff, to-day for Wellington and Wanganui, via ports, aud is due here on Wednesday. From Dunedin, via ports, the Holmdale is due here next Wednesday, aud will proceed on to Wanganui. The Parera, from Napier and Gisborne, is due here t-oday, and will return next Tuesday to the same ports. The Progress, due here to-day from the south, will go on to New Plymouth and Port Waikato.
