RIVERS RISING Brisbane, February 29. Heavy rain has fallen in North Queensland, and all the rivers from Cairns to Townsville are rising. Falls ranging from 9 to 13 inches were recorded in twentv-four hours. People in the vicinity of ’the Herbert River are. moving to places of safety.
