Two black marlin, almost unknown in these waters, were sighted off Kokorua at the Wangamoa by a party of Nelson fishermen a few days ago isays the "Mail”). One of the marlin leaped out of the Water, and his weight was estimated at 6001 b. The beaches in North Otago arc at present nlive with (founders and soles, and scores of camping parties are every evening engaged in trawling operations (states an exchange). Perhaps the most popular fishing beaches are those at Kartigi. Moerakl, and Hampden. Many of the fish taken are lieing dispatched to Dunedin and Oamaru.
