HEENEY-DELANEY CONTEST. BY Teiegrapii - PRESS ASSOCIATION Gisborne, February 29. That very keen interest is being shown in the contest to-moiiow night between Tom Heeney, of Gisborne, and Jack Delaney. the American light heavy-weight champion, is evidenced by comment appearing in the American Press and transmitted to Mr. O’Meara last night by a radio amateur across the Pacific. Following a request by Mr. O’Meara for news of the coining fight, his fellow experiment or gave newspaper extracts stressing the importance of the match, and that the winner is sure to get the title bout, with Tunney. Expert opinion varies as to the outcome of the fight.
