TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST

Meteorological Office, Wellington. February 28, 4 p in. A cyclone is now moving east of New Zealand and an anti-cyclone is advancing across the south Tasman Sea. The forecast is for moderate to strong southerly winds, decreasing somewhat over the North Island, but freshening again elsewhere. Moderate to fresh south to south-east winds and moderate to rather rough seas in the Tasman Sea. Weather chiefly fine at first, but with showers in Southern Otago, and later at scattered places elsewhere. Still cool.
