OBITUARY

PIONEER SISTER OF MERCY. Br Telegraph.—Press association. Greymouth, February 28. The death occurred suddenly at 9.45 to-night in the Greymouth Convent of Alother Alary Mechtildes Roland, a pioneer Sister of Alercy, who came last week for the jubilee from Christchurch, where she was Superior of the Convent of Alercy for many years. Previously she was first Superior of the Greymouth Convent, arriving on the West Coast 50 years ago. A native of Nenagh, lipperary, Ireland, and 82 years of age, deceased was attacked by a stroke of apoplexy this afternoon, dying four hours later. The funeral will be held at Christchurch on Friday.
