ACTOR ARRESTED
ALLEGED PERJURY. A singer and actor, aged 39, whose name was ordered to be suppressed, appeared before Mr- W. G. Riddell. S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon, charged with having .committed wilful and corrupt, perjury in the Supremo Court at Melbourne, Victoria. On tho application of Chief-Detective Ward a remand until Tuesday next, was granted by tho Magistrate, bail being allowed ifi the sum of £5O, with one surety of a similar amount. Accused was also ordered to report daily to the police while on remand.
