To a maid who remained in the same situation for 30 years, a memorial tablet has been dedicated by the Bishop o* Buckingban l in the parish church at Ivingho'e. Buckinghamshire. . She was Miss Ellen Gates, who was in the domestic service of the vicar ol Ivinghoe from the time she was 15 until her death recently at the age of 45.
