The Solomon Islands Murders. —In the House of Cominons. Air. Leopold Amery, in answer to a question, said that the Government had decided to appoint a special Commissioner to inquire into tlie murders by Solomon Islanders. The Commissioner would reach the Protectorate in May.—Press Assn. British Forces in Cairo.—Asked whether the removal of British Forces from Cairo was being considered, Sir Austen Chamberlain in the House of Commons said that it was impossible to make a statement on the subject till tlie end of the Anglo-Egyptian conversations. No Anglo-Egyptinn treaty would be ratified without consulting Parliament. —Press Assn. A Danger to Navigation.—The Telegraph Office in AVeliingtou advises: The following message was broadcast by the Niagara at 9.41 p,m. yesterday;—'‘Fishing launch Ika drifting. _ Position at 8.30 p-.m.. 35 degrees 44 minutes south, latitude 171- degrees 51 minutes east. 10 miles from Marotiri. She will probably drift east-north-east about one mile per hour, and is dangerous to navigation.”
