INTER-CLUB MATCHES The third round of the senior grade interclub competition will be played on the Miramar courts on Saturday. Play will commence at 1.30 p.m. The draw is as follows: —Brougham Hill v. Thorndon; Victoria University v. Miramar; Wellington v. Newtown. The seventh round of the third grade interclub competition will also be played, commencing at 1.30 p.m. The draw will be as follows: —Brougham Hill v. Miramar, Lyall Bay v Khandallah; Rongotai v. Roseneath; St. Petersv. Victoria University; Trinity v. Seatoun; Mitchelltown v. Newtown. ST. FRANCIS” V. ST. ANNE’S. The matches between St. Francis’ and St. Anne’s in connection with the Catholic Association wore played at Island Bay and resulted in a win for St. Anne’s by 12 sets 117 games to 12 sets 109 games. In an interprovincial lawn tennis match to-day, Olago beat Southland by 17 matches to 7. In the men’s singles Bray (Otago) beat Sumpter, B—6, 7 —5. Diack and Johnstone (Southland) beat McDougall and Bell in Hie men’s doubles, and Sumpter and Lindsay (Southland) beat Bray and Guy, 6—l. 7—5. Olago won the majority of the ladies' events and also of the mixed doubles.
