AUSTRALIAN BOUTS (Rec. February 26, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, February 26. At the Stadium Mclnnes and Tullipan fought a lively ten rounds, when the fight was stopped and Mclnnes declared the winner. Tullipan shaped particularly well. At the Leichhardt Stadium, Thompson (12.2) beat Monson (11.13) in a bout for the light-heavy-weight championship of Australia. The fight was stopped in the tenth round owing to an injury to Monson’s eye, LOVERIDGE DEFEATS BROADFOOT. BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION New Plymouth, February 26. Dick Loveridge, of Taranaki (list. 31b.), defeated A. Broadfoot, of Auckland’ (list. 31b.) on points in a fifteenround bout last night, at one of the best tournaments ever staged by the Taranaki Boxing Association in ai’.’.afenr contests. T. Donovan, of Waitara, the New Zealand featherweight champion, defeated C. Munson, of Auckland, and N. Roebuck. New Plymouth, also the New Zealand flyweight champion, beat R. Fraei, Auckland.
