A SUPER-SUBMARINE
— COMPLETED BY FRANCE (Rec. February 26, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, February 25. France’s super-submarine, chiefly fot the protection of her Colonial routes, has been launched at Cherbourg. The vessel is 300 ft. long and has ten torpedo tubes. It carries thirty-two torpedoes, a surface gun, an anti-aircraft gun, a number of machine guns, and a crew of fifty. The vessel is capable of remaining at sea for two months without refuelling, has a radius of eight thousand miles, and a speed of 17.7 knots. A sister-ship is now being completed.
