A gazing globe has been presented to to Botanic Gardens in Christchurch bv Mr. I?. E. McDougall (says an exchange). Mounted on a marble Ivaso, the globe is made of silvered glass, reflects in miniature the surrounding gardens, and the heavens, and is a verv fascinating object. It will probably be placed in the rose gafde.n.
