Cooked ham is 2/2 and 2/6 lb.; prunes are 6d. lb.; salmon is 6d. and 1/8 tin; mild cheese is lid. and 1/- lb.; matured cheese is 1/- and 1/4 lb.; N.Z. Stilton cheese is 3/- lb.; condensed milk is Gd. and 1/- per tin; dates are Bd. packet, and 4d. lb. loose. Sugar is 16/6 for a 7011). bag; bulk honey and clover honey sell at lOd. lb.; rice. sago, barley and tapioca are all 3d. lb. Spanish muscatels are 1/6 per packet, and Californian muscatels are 1/10 per packet, Turkish figs are 1/- lb. Fruit,—Rockmclons are 1/6 to 2/6 each; watermelons are 6d. lb. Grapes are 1/6 to 3/- lb.: grape fruit are 6d. and Bd. each; pears arc 3d. to Gd. lb.; blackberries are Gd- lb.; peaches arc 6d. to 1/- lb.; bananas are priced at from 8 for 1/- to 18 for 1/-; apricots are (id. to lOd. lb.: plums arc 3d. to Bd. lb.; tomatoes are 4d. and 6d. lb.; eating apples are 4d. and 6d. 1!>.; lemons are 3d. each, and oranges 3/- and 4/- doz.
