RONGOTAI COLLEGE

PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION FORMED. About IGO parents of pupils attending Rongotai Boys’ College were present at a meeting at Tala Hall, Kilbirnie, on Thursday night, for the purpose of forming a parents' association. Mr. IV. Gellatly, who was subsequently elected president, was in the chair. It was decided to form the association, and a provisional committee was appointed, with Mr. Jacobsen as hon. secretary and treasurer. Colonel Avery and Mr. F. Lang were elected vicepresidents. The next general meeting is to be of a social character to enable parents to meet each other. Prior to the formation of the association. the principal of Rongotai College, Mr. F. M. Renner, gave an address on the aims and objects of the school and asked for the co-operation of the parents in making the school one which would be a credit to the Dominion.
