When beginning to wind in a kingfish which he was playing on his line, while fishing from the Newton King Wharf the ohter day, Mr. !•’. J. Morshead noticed a commotion iu the water and the line almost free (says the “Taranaki. News”). When it was wound in the head of a kingfish was found on the hook, the body having been biften clean off by a shark which, it is sfated, swam close up to tho wharf soon afterwards.
