A CAPTAIN COOK CELEBRATION
The Government of the Territory of Hawaii has decided on a comprehensive historical celebration and pageant to be held from August 15-20, 1928, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the discovery of Hawaii by Captain Cook. It is proposed to invite a delegation from Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand, besides the United States mid Canada, and the plans ineludo a visit from warships of the British, American,'
and Australian fleets. A bronze tablet with an inscription regarding his death at the hands of the natives will also be erected at Kealakekua Bay, Hawaii, where the great navigator fell on February 11, 1779. It is hoped to find descendants, direct or lateral, either of the great North-Country navigator or of l hose officers who sailed with him, in order that they may be associated with the celebration.
