OIL SCANDALS

GUILTY OF CONTEMPT OF COURT Washington, February 22. In connection with the oil scandal trial, Mr. Justice Siddons adjudged William Burns, private detective, and his brother, Harry M. Sinclair, and Day, a member of the Sinclair firm, guilty of contempt of Court. Sinclair was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, Dav to four months, and Burns to fifteen days. Burns’s brother was fined 100 dollars. The defendants, it is believed, will immediately appeal to the United States Supreme Court, if necessary, gnd this procedure is expected to consume at least eighteen months.,
