ROWING REGATTA

The annual Wellington rowing regatta, which is to be held to-morrow. promises to lie one of the most successful on record. Nominations have been received from the following dubs.— Taurattga. Hamilton. Star (Wellington), Avon (Christchurch). Union Boating Club (Wanganui). Wanganui Rowing Club. Nelson Sea Scouts, Petone, Canterbury. Wairaii (Marlborough), Blenheim, and Wellington. Altogether there will be 174 oarsmen competing. In some of the races there are as many as eight different crews, and these races should prove spectacular in the extreme. It is the intention of all the selectors of the Olympic Eight to be present nt the regatta.
