The Finance Committee reported the receipt of a recommendation from the Auckland Football Association that no tours other than the Australian tours be entertained this season, and that such tours be of short duration, confined to tlv main centres. The committee had received a h tier from the Bohemian Club. Czechoslovakia, which toured Australia last year, asking for an invitation to tour New Zealand, but the committee did not recommend the tour.
A letter from the South African Association stated that the idea <f visiting Australia and New Zealand in 1928 had been abandoned for the reason that Australia preferred not to receive a visiting team this year on account of the number of visitors they had had in recent years. Mr. F. Sanders seconded. . Mr. B. L. Salmon moved, and Mr. F. Campbell seconded, that the matter be held over pending the receipt of further information from Australia. Mr. Salmon urged that the associations had a right to be considered in the matter, and they would say what they wanted when asked for the guarantees. The amendment was carried. In regard to the estimated receipts ana expenditure, Mr. Hyder thought the members should have an opportunity of going into them together with the figures of the last Australian tour, and it •Vs decided to go into the matter at the next meeting. The report and recommendations of tne committee were adopted, with the exception of that portion referring to the Australian tour. Chatham cup.
