CANDIDATES FOR OLYMPIC GAMES
PROTEST AGAINST INCLUSION OF MISS WILSON. BY Telegraph.—peess association. Christchurch, February 23. "In view of the performances of athletes who have not beeu given preference in the Olympic Games team, this centre enters a protest against the inclusion of Miss N. Wilson (Gisborne) in the preferred candidates, especially in view of the fact that ladies’ athletics in New Zealand are not advanced sufficiently to permit . competition afforded in other countries." The foregoing resolution was carried at a meeting of the executive of the Canterbury centre of tho N.Z.A.A.A. Discussion was in committee.
