DAIRY PRODUCE FINANCE
BUTTER AND CHEESE POOLS FURTHER LARGE PAYMENTS Further payments, totalling approximately £120,000, in respect of the second butter pool and the cheese pool, wiil be made to dairy factories by the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board. , , , At the monthly meeting of the Iward yesterday, the secretary reported that it has hoped finally to close the second butter pool and the cheese pool during March. The following further payments were available:— Second Butter Pool. Approximately .£50.000, equal to .134 pet lb, bringing the final payout to: — f.o.b. s. d. Finest 1 First 1 2.9277 Second 1 1-9277 Out of which the factories have paid the levy. Cheese Pool.
Approximately £76,000, equal to .108(1. per lb., bringing the final payout, on an f.o.b. basis, to:— Finest First 7.599 Second 7.349 On net weights, allowing for 2.75 per cent, shrinkage. Out of which the factories have naid the levy. The f.o.b. prices for cheese are the average prices. To the individual factories, there will lie a slight variation, owing to the variation in shrinkage.
