As is usual at this time of the year, swarms of bees have taken up their abode, as the unwelcome "guests,” of several households (says the Mount Somers correspondent of the "Lyttelton Times”). Perhaps one of the most embarrassing. as well as humorous points, is that (heir present "hosts” are liable to bo prosecuted for failing Io keep bees in "properlv constructed hives.” Ono resident, besides having a swarm of honey bees Indeed within his premises, recently found that bumble bees had nested among some linoleum* stored in his bathroom.
