HOSPITAL MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT
TO BE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER A special rheeting of the Hospital Board was held yesterday afternoon, Mr. C. M. Luke presiding, to go into the question of the duties of the Medical Superintendent. and to consider the advisability of dividing the duties by appointing an administrator as well as medical superintendent. On that question, said the chairman, hung the future policy of the board and the administration of the institution, therefore it was a matter that had to receive very serious consideration before any definite decision was arrived at. 'The matter had already been considered at three or four meetings, and as the board members had had time to give the question full consideration probably they would now be prepared to come to a decision. The board went into committee to discuss the subject, and at the conclusion it was decided to advertise for a medical superintendent, with administrative qualifications for the hospital and institutions of the board, at a salary of £l’2oo a year, with furnished house, lighting, and fuel.
