Manley, a well-known English diver, who stated’that diving in the Dominion v.as of a high standard, and that New Zealand had three or four divers worth training for the Olympic Games. The writer declared that the diving boards in use in New Zealand were not con-

structed at tlio international heights. He had already interested the Auckland city engineer in the matter, and thought that the Olvmpiv Council nilght be able to move in th» direction of remedying the defect. It was decided to pass the letter on to the New Zealand Swimming Association.
