FATAL MOTOR-CYCLE ACCIDENT

FORMER FLOCK HOUSE INSTRUCTOR Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, February 22. When riding his motor-cycle near Ashhurst this morning Thomas Hooper Smith, a resident of Bulls, collided with a motor-car coming out of a side road, and sustained severe injuries to his head which rendered him unconscious, and he was removed to Palmerston Hospital, where it was found that his skull was fractured. Shortly after midday he died. Deceased was forr erly an instructor at Flock House and during the war saw service in Russia. He leaves a widow and three* children, who are at present in Hastings.
