ROYAL LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY
DISPLAY FOR SUNDAY. A special meeting of the competition Sub-committee of the Life Saving Society was held on Monday. Mr. F. Chapman presided. It was decided that a display be given on Sunday at Lyall Bar in aid of the Wellington Free Ambulance. The display will commence at 2 p.m. and will consist of a special reel display by novices, a march past display by all the clubs, followed by an exhibition in tha water of surf swimming and a massed run out of seven men teams by specially selected teams. Tho team of midgets from the Island Bay Club will also give a reel display. The last event will take place at 4.30. It is expected that over 200 life-savers will take part. The officials in charge will be Mr. F. Chapman, marshall; Messrs. Beveridge, Gerrie, Dawkins, and Duffy, judges.
