BILLIARD SALOON RAIDED
KEEPER ADMITS GAMING CHA RGE. by Telegraph.- press association New Plymouth, Eebruarv Richard Miller admitted in the Magistrate’s Court to-day a charge <>f keeping a common gaming house at Urenui, and was lined £4O. Detective Meiklejohn described how the police took possession of accused’s billiard saloon and found evidence of 120 bets having been made and of £B4 15s having been taken in two days. While tliev were in possession two persons inquired by telephone about betting Miller said he was taking bets in a small wav as an agent.
