The funeral took place yesterday afternoon of the late Mr. William Currie, ex-viee-nresident of the Wellington Water* side Workeis’ Union, and for four years a member of tho executive of the Waterside Workers' Federation of New Zealand. Tho executive officers of both bodies attended and <r.er 300 of tho deceased’s fellow workers were present at the graveside at Karori. The burial service was conducted by the Rev. Kennedy Elliott. The Komata, from Westport, is due here on Sunday, and will return again next Wednesday to the same port to load again for Wellington. The Corinna in to load at Dunedin tomorrow for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth.
The Kaponga is to load cement at Portland early next week for Wellington ani Lyttelton. The Calm, from Bluff, via ports, is duo here to-morrow, and will go on to Wanganui. The Breeze is due here cn Saturday from South, and will leave t-galn the same day for Picton and Wanganui.
The Cygnet is due here to-night from Lyttelton and Kaikoura, and will return to-morrow to the same ports. The Parera, front Napier and flisbune, is due here on Monday, and will ultra to the same ports on Tuesday. Due here to-day from Port Waikato, th*) Progress will now leave again tomcriow for Southern ports. Tho Hohndale is duo here to-morrow from the South, and will go on to Wanganui.
