NEW NEWTOWN SCHOOL

ADJOINING WINTER SHOW GROUND. Mr. R. McKeen, M.P. for Wellington South, has been advised by the Hon R. A. Wright (Minister of Education) that the site fixed for the new Newtown West School of eight classrooms and subsidiary accommodation is a two-acre area adjoining the Winter Show ground in Hanson Street. The children will have access also to the sports .ground. Excavation work is now being carried out, and the school is to be erected in six months.
