The Misses Pinhey (2), of Levin, who have been visiting Alasterton and Wellington, have returned home.

Mrs. H. L. Arthur and Miss Arthur, of Wellington, are in Auckland, and are the guests of Airs. A. Reid, Remuera Road.

Sir George and Lady Fenwick are visiting Wellington. Mrs. Percival James, of Auckland, will join them on a visit to the Franz Josef Glacier.

Professor and Mrs. Mackenzie left Dunedin on Monday for their home in Wellington. Accompanying them is Airs. Craig, of London.

Her many friends will be pleased to see Lady Luke about again after her severe illness. Lady Luke was able to attend a meeting of the Board of Health yesterday morning.

Airs. Al. K. Macleod, of Wellington, who is staying in Hastings in connection with organisation of a Free Kindergarten, is the guest of Air. and Airs. K. G. Chamberlain, Omahu Road.

Air. and Airs. Lutyens (London) are the guests of Air. and Mrs. Joseph Studholme in Christchurch. Airs. Lutyens, who was Aliss Annette Barton, has many friends in Canterbury, thoroughly enjoyed.

Air. and Mrs. Adam McKay gave an enjoyable dance on Friday, to celebrate the '2lst birthday of their daughter, Nora. The grounds were lit with coloured lanterns and an orchestra played excellent music. Streamers, snowballs, bon-bons and balloons and novelty dances all helped to make the evening a success. About sixty people were present. Airs. AlcKay received her guests in a black georgette gown with touches of coral pink. Aliss Nora McKay wore a fox-glove georgette frock with sequin belt and trimmings. St. Mary's Guild. , The monthly meeting of St. Mary s Guild was held last week, Mrs.. Sprott presiding. The health of the inmates of St. Mary’s Home was reported to be all that could be wished and everyone had spent a very happy Christmas. Aliss Margaret Laing is spending a holiday at “Arikawa,” Marlborough Sounds. Airs. H. H. Hind, Island Bay, has left for a visit to Napier, Gisborne and Rotorua. Hostesses for the Community Club this week are Tuesday, Airs. S. FL Rastall; Wednesday, Aliss Cable; Thursday, Airs. E. C. Cooper; Friday, Mrs. Pow; Alonday next, Wellington Suburban Nursing Division. Wedding at St. Paul’s Church. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral by the Ven. Archdeacon Johnson yesterday afternoon, when Phyllis Eunice, daughter of Mr. and Airs. H. B. Gray, was married to William Mowbray, son of the late Air. and Mrs. Barraud, of Lower Hutt, and nephew, of Mr. W. Alowbray, of Lower Hutt.' The church had been prettily decorated for the occasion with pink and blue hydrangeas, the colours being carried out in the bridal group. The bride, who was given away bv her uncle. Air. W. J. Gray, was attired in white georgette veiled in radium lace, with a low wide belt of satin. Her veil formed a train, and was beautifully embroidered at the edge. It was arranged cap fashion, with a back coronet, finished with small bunches of orange blossom over the ears, and she carried a bouquet of white and pale pink carnations. She was attended by Airs. Al. Dixon as matron of honour, and Dorothy May Gray as flower girl. The former wore a frock of pink georgette, the circular skirt caught with small blue flowers and a pink hat turned oft the face, and she carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The little girl was in blue georgette, with a cap of silver net, and carried a basket of pink carnations. The bridegroom was attended by Air. Harold Pearce. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Pioneer Club Hall, where the decorations were carried out in pink and blue. The tables were decorated with pink antirrhinums, the bridal table having pink roses. Airs. Gray received the guests, with Air. W. Mowbray, uncle of the bridegroom. Airs. Gray wore navy blue marocain with bands of beige and cerise embroidery, and a small blue hat, and she carried a bouquet of cerise flowers. Miss Hurley, aunt of the bride, wore beige georgette and lace, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pink flowers. Later, when the bride and bridegroom left on their honeymoon, the former wore a costume of beige marocain, with flesh-coloured georgette, and fawn kid collar, and a close-fitting hat to match. Among the guests present at the wedding were Mr. and Airs. L. FI. Herd, Air. and Airs. Mansfield, Air. W. A. Alowbray, Mr. and Airs. H. E. Mowbray, Mr. E. L. Alowbray, Airs. Alirams, Dr. and Airs.
