RAIN PROBABLE
WEATHER CHANGE COMING LIGHT SHOWERS LAST NIGHT There are signs that the drought which has prevailed throughout tue Dominion for some weeks is, weakening. Light rain fell, in Wellington Inst evening, with indications of more to follow. . The cyclonic depression which on Monday morning lay across the Tasman Sea moved eastward during the night and vesterdav the barometrical pressure throughout New Zealand was lower than it has been for two months. Although no general ram has been recorded"so far, falls were experienced at manv places during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday, and scattered showers fell in tlie North Island. A fresh northerly wind with considerable cloudiness was experienced at Wellington yesterday, and a few light showers of "rain fell during the evening. A change of wind to the southward with cloudy and overcast weather is due, and rain is predicted in most parts of the Dominion.
