STILL INCREASING
REGISTRATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES FIGURES FOR JANUARY Motor vehicle registrations in New Zealand continue to increase, according to a report made available for publication by the Minister of Public Works (Hon. K. S. Williams) yesterday. At the end of January the registrations had reached a total of 172,798. The figures for the previous month were 171,285. Details of the return up to an including January 31, for both islands, are as under: — NORTH ISLAND. Cars 70,001 Commercial vehicles .... 17,370 Cycles 20,004 Total 107,375 SOUTH ISLAND. Cars 42,653 Commercial vehicles ... 7,843 Cycles 14,927 Grand total 65,423 Grand total, 172,798.
