WEST COAST BREWERY MERGER
A company is being formed to take over the old-established breweries ot Mandi’s, Hokitika, Monteith’s, Reefton, Beams’, Kumara, and Davies. Hokitika. Tho nominal capital of the concern is J255.00T, divided into 55,000 shares of „C'l each, of which 26.750 aro being offpred to tho public on attractive terms. It is announced that all the West Coast bieweries will be merged into one, which will supplv the demand now being catered for biz four. Competition will be largely eliminated, and transport charges greatly reduced. The territory covered is large, and besides tho towns of Hokiiika, Kumara, Grevmouth. and Roofton, includes largo colliery settlements, dependent upon tho farming and sawmilling industries operating throughout the West Coast, with an approximate population of thirty thousand. An excellent site Jias been secured, on which it is proposed to erect an up-to-date brewery and plant. Pure spring water in adeouate- quantity is available on the site, ft is stated that the company will commence operations with an assured trade, capable of considerable development. As showin'- the confidence of TVest Coast investors in the investment over 10.600 shares have already been reserved. The three principal vendors are not only leaving their own capital in the company, but bare each applied for 1000 contributing shares. The interim secretary of tho eompanv is Mr. M. J .Fogarty. F.R.A., N.Z., accountant, of Grevmouth. from whom copies of tho prospectus may bo obtained.
