Dr. Oertel, director of the McGill Pathological Institute, has announced the discovery of the presence of nerves m human cancers and other malignant tumours. Dr. Oertel states that this discovery shows that cancer is not an independent, self-contained growth, and points to the possible connection of cancerous growths with the nervous system.
