MAYOR’S SEAT ON THE BOARD

LOST BY REV. J. K. ARCHER. Christchurch, February 15. At a meeting of the Christchurch Fire Board last night it was decided that, as the Mayor, the Rev. J. K. Archer, had been absent from two consecutive meetings without leave, he had lost his seat. Steps will now be taken to fill the vacancy, which the Government has power to do.
