MALAY STATES
VISIT OF COLONIAL UNDERSECRETARY London, February 14. It is understood that Mr. Ormsby Gore, Colonial Under-Secretary, will officially visit the Federated and Unfederated Malay States in the middle of March. This is the first occasion a Minister will pay such a visit during his term of office. He will collect evidence on a number of subjects, including transport progress, education, agriculture, and medical veterinary services, and officially report on his return. Representatives of the Marketing Board and Colonial Office will accompany him. No political significance attaches to the visit, which is part of the movement whereby Imperial officials will visit the Dominions and colonies.—“ The Times.”
