v — — j MILKMAN FINED £l5. Dominion Special Service. Christchurch, February 15. Convicted on two charges of selling milk containing added water, William Nicholson, a milkman, was fined £l5 and costs in the Magistrate’s Court today by Mr. H. P. Lawry, S.M. An inspector stated that two samples had been taken, one on November 10 and another on November 16. On . the second occasion the cans were filthy and were the worst he had seen on his round. The first sample showed 10 per cent, of added water and the second 20.9 per cent. The Magistrate inflicted a fine of £5 and costs on the first charge and .£lO and costs on the second.
