AMALGAMATION EFFORT FAILS Adelaide, February 14. Following the breakdown in the negotiations between the Liberal Federation and the Country Party on the question of amalgamation, three of the seven members of the Country Party in the State Parliament have left the part}’. Among these is Mr. Mclntosli, leader of the party and Minister of Works in the Butler Government. The Country Party has . decided to- nominate its own members' for the forthcoming Federal elections. Members of the Labour Party expressed delight at the possible disruption of the two sections.
