FLIGHT OVER PERSIA
NEGOTIATIONS IN PROGRESS Rugby, February 13. The Foreign Secretary was asked whether the Note recently sent to the Persian Government dealt with the subject of permission to British aeroplanes to fly over Southern Persian territory, en route between Iraq and India. He replied that the attention of the Persian Government had on several recent occasions been drawn to the desirability of concluding a friendly settlement of questions outstanding between the two Governments, of which one was the establishment of a civil air service between Iraq anl India. Hitherto the attitude of the Persian Government had not permitted such a service ' to be operated, but negotiations were still proceeding.—British Official Wireless.
