The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co. have been advised by cablegram that the City of Winchester left Colon on Sunday morning for London, en route from 1 ort Cbuimers. The vessel left the Otago port on January 18. DEVON LEAVES PANAMA. Cabled advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Co. tnat the Devon arrived at Colon on February 8 from Antwerp, and left Panama on the same date for Auckland, where she is due ou .March 5. NEW FOXTON TRADER. The auxiliary ketch Portland arrived at Wellington at 3 o’clock yesterday morning from Auckland, having been purchased by Mr. H. Usborne, of Foxton, tor the purpose of running cargo between Wellington and Foxton. Captain J Williams brought the vsesel to Wellington. Tlie Portland is a wooden twin-screw auxiliary ketch of 78 tons gross, with a cargo-carrying capacity of 91) tons deadweight. She was built by Mr. George G. Nicol at Auckland on 1910. Her combined engines are of 60 horsepower, giving her a speed of 6i to 7 knots when loaded. The ketch s chief dimensions are:—Length, 92ft.; beam, 21ft. ;depth, 4ft. lin.; loaded draught, art. She is lifted with a centre-board. Captain C. Willimas, late of the Progress, took command of the Portland yesterday. Mr. H. Soares is engineer. llie crew number five all told. The Cumberland arrived at Wellington at 7.30 a.m. yesterday from Wanganui roadstead, and berthed at the Pipitea Wharf to continue loading. She will now leave Wellington on Friday afternoon for Port Chalmers to HU up for London. THE CANADIAN SEIGNEUR. . The Canadian Government Agency have been notified by cablegram that the Canadian Seigneur arrived at Panama from Auckland on February 9, and sailcd again, on the same date for New York, Boston, and Halifax. The vessel left Auckland on January 12. MATAKANA LEAVES COLON. A cable message to the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co. reports that the Matakana left Colon on Saturday for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain, en route from Welington. The vessel sailed from Wellington on January 20. O. A. KNUDSEN WITH OIL. The Norwegian oil-tanker O. A. Knudsen, which arrived in the stream at Wellington at 12.30 a.in. yesterday from San Luis, California, berthed at the Miramar Wharf shortly after 9 a.m. yesterday to discharge her load of fuel oil for the Union Company. The run down the Pacific was uneventful. MARAMA FROM SYDNEY. At 6.50 a.m. yesterday the Union Co.’s Intercolonial passenger steamer Marama arrived in the stream at Wellington from Sydney direct. Pratique was granted, and the ship berthed at the King’s Wharf at 9.30 a.m. The vessel left Sydney on Friday afternoon, and experienced an uneventful fine-weather passage to Wellington. The Marama is to leave Wellington on Friday afternoon on the return trip to Sydney. lONIC AT SOUTHAMPTON. Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, SaviU, and Albion Co. that their liner lonic arrived at Southampton on Monday morning from Auckland, en route to London. She left Auckland on January 4. Coote as fourth officer of the Tahiti, the latter officer being appointed third officer of the Kaimai. The Oonah has been recommissioned at Midbourne in command of Captain E. Evans who has with him the following officers:— Chief, Mr. E. A. Buckingham; second, Mr. J. V. Bray; third, Mr. R. Blampied. MISCELLANEOUS. The liner Arawa arrived at Lyttelton nt 7.45 a.m. yesterday from Dunedin for loading, and sailed again last evening for Bluff. The Mamilius will sail from Bluff this morning for Port Chalmers to lilt up for London. The Matatua is to leave Dunedin today for Timaru and Lyttelton to continue discharge of her London cargo. The City of Bath sailed from Lyttelton yesterday for Dunedin to continue discharge of her New York cargo. The vessel will leave Dunedin for Tasmania. , The Port Caroline sailed from Wellington last evening for Wanganui roadstead to complete loading for London. The Northumberland left Wellington last evening for Napier to complete her Homeward loading. The Hertford will now leave Napier tomorrow afternoon for Timaru, in continuation nf her loading programme. The Wingatui will now leave Wellington to-day for Lyttelton and Dunedin. From the latter port she will load northwards for Wellington and Auckland. The Kittawa left Wellington yesterday for Westport and Greymouth to load for Wellington. Miramar, and New Plymouth. The Kartigi will leave Auckland tomorrow for Wellington and suothern ports. The Gale is to leave Dunedin to-morrow for Wellington, Picton. and Wanganui, and is due here on Sunday. The Kamona. from Dunedin, will leave Lyttelton to-day for Wellington and Auckland. The Opihi will leave Dunedin to-day for Wellington and Westport. The Kaimanawa from Westport is due here to-day, and will leave again on Saturday for Picton and Auckland. • The Kairanga is expected fo clear Newcastle to-morrow wtih coal for Wellington and Miramar. The John is now due here on Friday from Lyttelton, and will go on to Wanganui and New Plymouth.
