Dominion Specie Service Christchurch February 14. The inquest was conluded to-day regarding the death of (eorge Partridge, aged 79, who was knotted down, by a motor-car at the corne of Lichfield ana Colombo Streets, and -’ho subsequently died in hospital. The medical evidece showed that death was due to intf-cranial hatmorrhage, following a frsture of the skull and laceration of th< brain. Several witnesses leposed that Partridge hesitated in ront of the car, which was travellig slowly at the time. , The Coroner (Alr.E. D. Alosley) returned a verdict ii accordance with the medical testimoy, stating that the driver had exercisd every care_, and could not be blame for the accident.
